I took a camping getaway to Rondeau Provincial Park in Southern Ontario, Canada. It is the second oldest park in the province, established in 1894. I also visited Uncle Tom’s Cabin, in nearby Dresden, one of the last stops on the Underground Railroad that many slaves used to escape from slavery in the US. It was a nice mix of relaxation and history.

I had an exhilarating experience tracking rhinos by foot in Matobo National Park in Zimbabwe. I cannot believe how close we were able to get to these incredible creatures! Oh, and the rock paintings left by the San hunter-gatherers dating back at least 13,000 years were pretty cool too!
